As a contributing writer for the LA Weekly, Tibby Rothman frequently pens investigative news stories. In addition, she writes about architecture for The Architect’s Newspaper and The Magazine. Her genre-bending website ‘feature’ story To Live and Draw in LA, which was commissioned by the architectural firm of Pugh + Scarpa, was touted by Taschen as one of the publisher’s ‘1000 Favorite Websites.’ From 2001-2008, Rothman produced the irreverent and innovative VenicePaper, an experience insightfully noted by writer Elmore Leonard in his novel Road Dogs: “…Tibby Rothman. You know her?…” “…She puts out the Venice newspaper, I understand, when she feels like it.”
