Mike Olin creates art in a variety of forms but maintains a primary focus on painting. His approach toward object making utilizes conflated fields of influences ranging from morphic resonance and consciousness, to the phenomenon of perception and the history of art. He has shown his work in galleries on both American coasts and internationally. In 2003 he co-founded the artist collective “Pioneers of Inspiration” which has become a growing force in Brooklyn’s burgeoning Bushwick art scene. Born in Pasadena, CA, Mike has lived and worked in Brooklyn since 1999.
