<p><strong>Travis Diehl</strong> is an artist and writer born in Greensboro, North Carolina. His videos and prints have been shown at such venues as the Hysterically Real Theater, Curtat Tunnel, and The Centre Pompidou. His art writing has appeared most recently at Cirrus Gallery, Anthony Greaney Gallery, and Art Műr, and is forthcoming in <em>Artforum</em>, <em>X-Tra</em>, and <em>P.&#038;Co</em>. He edits the Los Angeles-based magazine <em>Prism of Reality</em>.</p>
<p><strong>Alex Kitnick</strong> has written for <em>October</em> and <em>May</em>, and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles.</p>
<p><strong>Rachel Kushner</strong> is the author of <em>Telex from Cuba</em>, which was a finalist for the National Book Award in Fiction in 2008, a finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, and winner of the California Book Award. Kushner’s writing has appeared in <em>Artforum</em>, <em>Bookforum</em>, <em>The New York Times</em>, <em>Fence</em>, <em>Bomb</em>, <em>The Believer</em>, <em>Cabinet</em> and <em>Grand Street</em>. She is co-editor of <em>Soft Targets Journal</em> and lives in Los Angeles, where she is at work on her second novel.</p>

<p><strong>Ali Liebegott</strong> has been writing stories and poems since she was a teenager. Her works has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies including: <em>I Do/I Don&#8217;t</em> (Suspect Thoughts Press); <em>Pills, Thrills, Chills and Heartache</em> (Alyson Press); <em>Blood and Tears: Poems for Matthew Shepard</em> (Painted Leaf Press); B<em>etween the Cracks</em> (Daedelus); <em>Virgin Territory II</em> (Masquerade Press); <em>Blythe House Quarterly</em>; <em>The Brooklyn Review</em> and others. In 2005 her book-length poem <em>The Beautifully Worthless</em> was published by Suspect Thoughts Press. It was recently awarded a Lambda Literary Award in the category of Best Lesbian Debut Fiction. Her novel <em>The IHOP Papers</em> was published in 2007 from Carroll &#038; Grad. She has performed her work throughout the country many times, including two tours with Sister Spit. In 1999 she was a recipient of  a Poetry Fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Currently she is finishing an illustrated novel called<em> The Crumb People</em> about a post-September 11th obsessive duck feeder.</p>
<p><strong>Catherine Taf</strong>t is a Los Angeles based critic and curator. She is a regular contributor to <em>Artforum International </em>and has also written for  journals including <em>Modern Painters, ArtReview, Metropolis-M, Kaleidoscope</em> and exhibition catalogs in the U.S. and abroad. Additionally, Taft is a Curatorial Associate in the department of Architecture and Contemporary Art the Getty Research Institute, where she helped organize the exhibition <em>California Video</em> (2008) and is currently working on a large scale research initiative and exhibition<em> Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles 1945-1980</em> (Fall 2011).</p>
<p><strong>Michelle Tea</strong> is the author of four memoirs, a collection of poetry, and the novel <em>Rose of No Man&#8217;s Land</em>. She&#8217;s edited anthologies on first-person narratives, class, fashion, and queer fiction. Her journalism has been selected for the <em>Best American Non-Required Reading</em> and <em>Best Music Writing</em> series. Michelle is the founder of RADAR Productions, the San Francisco-based literary organization that hosts monthly reading series, the international Sister Spit tours, an annual retreat, a poetry contest, and way more excellent events for writers and readers. She is currently teaching a novel workshop at CalArts.</p>
<p><strong>David L. Ulin</strong> is book critic of the Los Angeles Times. From 2005-2010, he was the paper&#8217;s book editor.  His new book is <em>The Lost Art of Reading: Why Books Matter in a Distracted Time</em>. He is the author of <em>The Myth of Solid Ground: Earthquakes, Prediction, and the Fault Line Between Reason and Faith</em>, and the editor of <em>Another City: Writing from Los Angeles</em> and <em>Writing Los Angeles: A Literary Anthology</em>, which won a 2002 California Book Award. His essays and criticism had appeared in <em>The Atlantic Monthly, The Nation, The New York Times Book Review, Bookforum, Columbia Journalism Review</em>, and on National Public Radio&#8217;s <em>All Things Considered</em>.  </p>

<p>Michael Ned Holte is a writer and independent curator based in Los Angeles. He contributes regularly to <em>Artforum International</em> and his writing has also appeared in print periodicals such as <em>Afterall, Domus, Frieze, Interview, Pin-Up,</em> and <em>X-Tra</em>.  He has provided texts for numerous monographs and exhibition catalogues including <em>Richard Hawkins—Third Mind</em> (Art Institute of Chicago/Yale), <em>Steve Roden: when words become forms</em> (Pomona College Museum of Art), R<em>oy McMakin: When is a Chair Not a Chair</em> (Skira/Rizzoli), and <em>Ricky Swallow: The Bricoleur</em> (National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia). He has curated exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, and Torino, Italy, most recently organizing the exhibition “Support Group” for Thomas Solomon Gallery @ Cottage Home, Los Angeles. Currently, he is faculty at the California Institute of the Arts.</p>
<p>George Porcari is a writer, filmmaker and photographer who moved to LA from Peru in 1963. He has also worked as the acquisitions librarian at Art Center College for more than 20 years and taught film history there for 10.  Porcari’s photographs have been exhibited internationally, most recently with a solo show at China Art Objects in March 2010 and his writing has appeared in such places as <em>Cine Action, NY Arts, Rain Taxi</em> and <em>Inflatable Magazine</em>. In 2012, Semiotext(e) will publish a collection of his essays on photography.</p>
<p>Mary Woronov is the author of numerous books of fiction as well as the memoir Swimming Underground, which chronicles her time with Andy Warhol at the Factory. Her other books include the novels, <em>Snake</em> and <em>Niagara</em> as well as a short story collection, <em>Blind Love</em>, all published by Serpent Tail and the book <em>Wake for the Angels</em> that combines stories with her painting. She is also a frequent contributor to the magazine <em>Artillery</em>. Woronov has appeared in many films including Warhol’s <em>Chelsea Girls, Rock &#8216;N&#8217; Roll High School</em> and <em>Eating Raoul.</em> A documentary about her, based on her book, <em>Confessions of a Cult Queen</em>, is soon to be released from Minx films.</p>
